The House of XUKLIS

Casa dels Xuklis is a charity project aimed at providing accommodation in individual apartments for children with cancer dyigndoestic and their families, who must move from their places of origin to receive treatment in the reference hospitals of Barcelona.

Barasona designs and executes the interior project of one of the 25 apartments, in which neutral tones and nods to children are protagonists of the whole space.

Most of the walls are coated with different collections of mosaics, because it is a material more durable and easy to clean than painting, children’s furniture design is used and the space is distributed in order to turn the apartment into a space cozy, where the families occupying it not only find in it a clean and relaxing atmosphere, but also warm.
