  -  Bathroom   -  Brabantia collaborates with Interior Designers in Action to support those affected by the DANA in Valencia

As part of its commitment to social responsibility and solidarity, Brabantia has made a significant donation of products for those affected by the recent DANA in Valencia. This action was carried out in collaboration with the non-profit association Interioristas en Acción and the Foundation for the Promotion of Development and Integration (FDI Foundation), organizations that lead efforts to rebuild homes and support affected families.

Donated products: functionality and design for affected households

Brabantia’s donation included a wide range of products that combine functionality, durability and contemporary design, making it easier for affected families to regain a practical and welcoming home environment. Among the donated products are:

  • Newicon 30L Pedal Bin in Mellow Yellow color: With its soft and airtight closing system, these bins not only bring color and style to the kitchen, but also ensure hygienic waste management.

  • Bo Waste Bin Hi bins in capacities of 4L and 7L, in Matt Black color: Designed for efficient waste management, these bins integrate perfectly into any space thanks to their elegant and compact format.
  • Step Up 40L Cubes in Jade Green color: Ideal for large families, they combine a large capacity with an ergonomic design and resistant materials, guaranteeing long durability.
  • Touch Bin 40L bins in Fresh White color: With their touch opening system, these bins provide comfort and accessibility, being especially useful for families in the process of reorganization after floods.

The selection of products reflects Brabantia’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, as many of its items are sustainable.

Impact of donation: figures that speak

Since the beginning of the project, the impact has been remarkable:

  • More than 550 families have received direct support thanks to donations from different entities.
  • More than 5,000 families have been contacted to coordinate the delivery of aid.
  • More than 140 donor entities have joined forces to maximize the reach of the project.

The distribution process of the products was carried out through a rigorous system of traceability and transparency, ensuring that each item effectively reached families in need. The FDI Foundation (www.interioristasenaccion.com ), together with teams of volunteers, managed the logistics from the central node at the Feria de Valencia to the final delivery to the affected homes. In addition, the issuance of donation certificates has allowed employees to know the concrete impact of their contribution.

Corporate solidarity in action

Interior Designers in Action, made up of more than 200 professionals from the decoration, interior design and architecture sector, has been key to mobilising resources and channelling aid efforts effectively. Their work, together with the collaboration of companies such as Brabantia, demonstrates how corporate solidarity can make a difference at critical times.

With this initiative, Brabantia reaffirms its commitment to the community and sustainability, showing that the positive impact goes beyond its products, extending to concrete actions for the benefit of those who need it most.
