Mirror Bath, Casa Decor Madrid 2007

A project to expand calm and elevate the everyday
There are projects that, with the passage of time, do not remain only in the memory: they return with force because their idea is still fully current. At Casa Decor Madrid 2007 we present Mirror Bathroom, a master bathroom conceived with a very clear objective: to create a spacious, serene and sophisticated atmosphere.
The goal: spaciousness, serenity and sophistication
The starting point of the project was intentional and consistent in each decision:
- Spaciousness: achieved through a set of mirrors designed to multiply the perception of space and enhance light.
- Serenity: built from color and textures, seeking visual balance and a sense of calm.
- Sophistication: reinforced with Ramon Soler taps, which provided precision, quality and an elegant shine, without stridency.
The result was to be a bathroom with a vocation for permanence: a timeless and liveable proposal, designed to be enjoyed.
The mirror as an architectural tool
In this project, the mirror was not conceived as a decorative resource, but as a spatial tool. Their presence allowed the bathroom to be expanded without modifying its structure, generating depth, reflections and an enveloping sensation that changed according to the point of view.
The composition of mirrors dialogued with the rest of the elements and made light part of the design. The space opened up, breathed and gained presence.
A trend based on balance
The conceptual line was based on an idea that is still key in interior design: balance in a timeless space. A balance between classic and contemporary, between bright and warm, and between functional and sensory.
Colour and material: light, gold and nuanced silver
The colour palette was articulated in light tones, enriched with nuanced golds and silvers, treated to provide sophistication without coldness. The textures completed that feeling of serenity and comfort, adding visual depth and refinement.
The taps as a leading piece: Ramon Soler
The choice of Ramon Soler was fundamental to finish off the atmosphere. In a master bathroom, the tap is a “functional jewel”: it is used daily, it must be technically impeccable and, at the same time, add character. In Mirror Bath, this sophisticated presence contributed to elevating the whole and reinforcing its aesthetic coherence.
Lighting: spot spotlights and classic lamps
The lighting was solved by combining:
- Spot spotlights, to direct the light and accentuate key areas.
- Classic lamps, which provided warmth and a balanced decorative gesture.
To complete the control of the atmosphere, Fontini switches and light dimmers were incorporated, a detail that makes the difference when the objective is to create a serene space that can be adapted to different times of the day.
What Remains Today
Mirror Bath continues to be a good example of how a well-constructed concept is maintained over time. Spaciousness, calm and sophistication can be achieved with precise decisions: materials, reflections, light and technical elements with real value.
In 2007, this proposal was already committed to a solid idea: a master bathroom that does not seek impact by excess, but by coherence, balance and quality.
