Carlos Quintáns Eiras,director of TECTOnicablog (tectonicablog and tectonica-online) has been elected director of the Spanish pavilion of the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016, together with the architect Iñaqui Carnicero.

This edition of the Biennalae is defined by its director, the Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena. The 15th International Architecture Exhibition will be on the learning and focus of architectures that through intelligence, intuition or both, are able to escape the status quo. Quintáns y Butcher want to present the power that the architects of Spain represent in quality, experience and solvency. They manage to present a wide range of architects, who with higher levels of quality of training than any other country, a figure that endorses the positions of responsibility in the main universities of the world, now covered by Spanish architects, they have much to say in a country with so much work to do in redefining building priorities.

This implies the recognition of the didactic work that through TECTONICA has been done by the dissemination of an architecture before all responsible.
